High Plains Community Development Corporation has received a grand from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development, or HUD.
High plains Executive Director Marguerite Vey-Miller says the $58,600 grant will allow the agency to provide services such as fair housing education and outreach activities in northwest Nebraska.
The main intent of the program is to provide counseling and education on the federal Fair Housing Act and the Nebraska Landlord and Tenant Act.
The main HUD office is in Omaha.
