It will be one of the most modern, state-of-the-art places you don't want to go.

Built to end the expensive over-crowding at the old Lancaster County Jail, the new Lancaster County Corrections Facility is one of the most high tech jails in the country.

Once it's fully operational, it can house 786 inmates.

That's more than three times the capacity of the current jail on 10th Street.

There are six pods are for high-security inmates.

Each one has 32 cells, which hold two inmates each.

There are also dorm-style units for minimum security prisoners.

The $60 million facility is high-tech and energy efficient.

It has more than 500 electronic doors with secure locks and will be heated and cooled with a geothermal system.

It took almost four years to build, but facility directors say it's one of the most technically complicated buildings in the country and will last for a long time.

Visitors are invited to tour the jail, and even stay the night, during the month of April.

It your chance to stay in a place so many people try to avoid.
