10/11 Against the Violence - Small Voices Can be Heard

The Child Advocacy Centers in Lincoln and Grand Island provide a comfortable atmosphere for children who are the victims of sexual abuse. The Centers are dedicated to helping local law enforcement communicate with the children in a calming environment. Through their hard work, even small voices can be heard.

You can help too. 10/11 and the Child Advocacy Centers in Lincoln and Grand Island are teaming up during the month of February to ask for your support. Drop off your donations at the Child Advocacy Centers in Lincoln and Grand Island on Friday, Feb. 27, from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. Volunteers from 10/11 and the Centers will be on hand to accept your donations.

In addition, every Friday in February during 10/11 News Now at Ten, 10/11 Reporter Vinita Nair will bring you the special stories of the Child Advocacy Center. 10/11 will also air Public Service Announcements throughout February.

Child Advocacy Center Benefit Dance
Join the Child Advocacy Center for its first-ever Benefit Dance on Friday, Feb. 27, at the Pla Mor Ballroom. One of the premiere bands in the Midwest, Blackwater, will be performing from 8:30 P.M. to Midnight. All ticket sales will be donated to the Child Advocacy Center. Tickets are $5 and only available at the door. Doors open at 7:30 P.M. Pizza donated by Valentino’s and a dessert bar donated by HyVee Food Stores. Families are welcome! 10/11 and the Pla Mor Ballroom are proud to support the center’s daily commitment to keep kids safe from abuse. Come out and help fight child abuse, with your help small voices CAN be heard.
