The Scottsbluff City Council formally honored fallen soldier Army Specialist James Wolf and his family during a council meeting Monday night.

Wolf was killed in Iraq nearly three months ago. Mayor Fiona Libsack presented the city library with a commemorative plaque with Wolf's name on it that will be placed with other plaques at the library honoring fallen soldiers.

Libsack said the Scottsbluff High School graduate will not be forgotten by his community.

Bob Wolf said the plaques are indicative of the support his family has received since his son was killed.
