A 33-year-old Omaha woman is sentenced to ten years in prison for an incident last May that severely burned a six-month-old boy.
Donyale Fellows was charged with attempted assault and causing serious bodily harm while under the influence. She was accused of ramming her ex-boyfriend's car, causing hot antifreeze to drip on young Jamari Richards. The boy was strapped in a car seat and was trapped under the wrecked car.
The boy was taken to an Omaha hospital, then transferred for treatment at the burn unit of St. Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln.
The judge, in sentencing Fellows Tuesday in Douglas County District Court, said a pre-sentence investigation found Fellows had 64 convictions, seven arrests for assault and four for drunken driving.
