Bus Accident

Jean Reaske of Salt Lake City is identified as the person in critical condition following an early Monday bus crash along an icy Intersection 80 west of Wood River.

Hall County Sheriff Jerry Watson says the woman is in her 80s. She is being treated at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.

Watson and Greyhound bus line officials say 16 passengers and the driver were treated for injuries. There were 27 passengers all together on the bus.

Watson says the driver told investigators that a westbound semi-trailer truck ahead of the bus lost control on the icy interstate and jackknifed into a ditch. Watson says the bus driver then swerved to miss the truck and overturned in the median.
