The Appropriations Committee is meeting to come up with a plan to help solve the Budget Problem. The state is carrying a deficit of $193 million. Last week, revenue forecasts dropped $104 million.
Sen. Roger Wehrbein says part of fixing the problem is dipping into the state's cash reserves. By law the state must restore itself to a minimum balance of $150 million by July 1, 2005.
The Committee hopes to have a working budget by Friday.
