Contractors are beginning to put the finishing touches on Grand Island's new seven-screen theatre slated to open in April.
Paul Ford, the vice president of operations of Dickinson Theaters said the complex announced last June will open April 2. The theater complex will have seven screens, 900 seats and theaters ranging from 65 seats to 265 seats. The theaters were originally set to open slightly sooner, but Davis says there was a problem with the initial plans, and they had to be redrawn.
The redrawn plans included a slight change, from eight screens to seven. The theatres will encompass roughly 17,000 square feet and THX sound and stadium seating.
