A Nebraska City woman is accused of letting her 12-year-old granddaughter drive her car, which crashed on a rural road.

Jean Wieckhorst has been charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and permitting the illegal use of a motor vehicle. She's due in Otoe County Court on Oct. 19th.

The Otoe County Sheriff's Office says Wieckhorst was in the passenger seat when Julia Francis lost control of the car. The car rolled, and the girl was taken to a Lincoln hospital with injuries.

The crash happened in September.
