Grand Island and Kearney are trying to put together an agreement to make travel out of central Nebraska more convenient.

Both communities are concerned about the amount of air service in and out of the region, especially to Kansas City and Denver.

A working agreement has been drawn up between the two cities, and both communities will meet on Wednesday at 6:30 P.M. at Grand Island City Hall.

Executive director of the Hall County Airport, Bill Stovall, says, "We'll serve hopefully as a model to other communities nationwide that have the same concerns as we have right now."

Kearney is interested in getting eastbound flights, especially to Kansas City, while Grand Island would like more service to and from Denver.
