Parking Meter Reaction

There's something new about the parking meters in Lincoln. Drivers no longer have to crack the code to know how long the meters last.

"We go to a movie and we're an hour early. We spend most of our time trying to find a meter that gave us enough time and we could never remember the colors, " says Lloyd Roberts.

The meters are still color coded: red for 30 minutes, yellow for one hour, orange for 90 minutes, green for two hours, and blue for extended parking. But now, they also have stickers clearly displaying their length.

"When you're driving by, you can think 'I have to be here for an hour' so I can find an hour meter," explains Lindsay Wiley, a student at UNL.

Folks also wish the hours meters have to be plugged would also be prominently displayed.
