A leader in the Lincoln community says he is innocent of sexual assault.

Former Lincoln Interfaith Council director Norman Leach entered his plea Monday in Lancaster County Court. He faces a third-degree sexual assault charge.

That is a misdemeanor that carries a penalty of up to one year in prison. It is filed in cases of sexual assault where there is not serious personal injury to the victim.

Leach was arrested last week for allegedly inappropriately touching a teenage boy who spent the night at his house.

The victim in this case is a Boy Scout who was a member of a troop founded by the 63-year-old Leach.
