Henk Back in Court

By: Laura Cole
Updated: Tue 10:51 PM, Feb 24, 2004

Rebecca Gonzalez was not happy about having to leave the courtroom. She says, "I took a week off of work so I could see the beginning of the fight for justice for my son. Now, I find out I'm going to be shoved in a room all week. That is ridiculous.”

Some of the motions discussed today include whether Ivan Henk was interrogated after he invoked his Miranda rights. Law Enforcement say they did follow proper procedure.

They say Henk signed the Miranda rights advisory form used by the Plattsmouth Police Department.

Ivan Henk is charged with first-degree murder in the death of his son Brendan Gonzalez.

The hearing is expected to last throughout the week. No trial date has been set yet.
