Three Lincoln politicians have been fined $250 for violating state election laws.
Former Councilman Ken Svoboda and current Councilman Adam Hornung agreed to a settlement with the state Accountability and Disclosure Commission. The two had sent a joint campaign mailing in March that did not include the state-mandated "paid for by" note.
Commission Director Frank Daley called it a minor violation.
Former Councilwoman Annette McRoy is being fined because she still had a candidate committee but failed to file an annual campaign statement by Feb. 2.

Why am I not surprised that it was two Republican candidates who were essentially running a joint stealth campaign by failing to disclose who was paying for their ads? As is usual with this party, the end justifies the means. Hornung should be recalled.
