Soldiers Return to a Hero's Welcome

By: Kyle Fischer
Updated: Wed 6:28 PM, Mar 17, 2004

Welcome home members of the 105th Personnel Detachment. The soldiers from Camp Ashland have returned home after completing a year of service in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

The detachment was responsible for processing every military man and woman that passed through the region.

Soldiers say they're happy to return to their normal lives, but the memories they made serving their country will never fade away.

The return of the 105th leaves four guard units still on active duty serving in the war on terrorism, and two of those units are scheduled to return within the next few months.
