Forecasters say a major snowstorm forecast for eastern Wyoming could move into Nebraska's Panhandle, but they aren't sure when.

A winter storm warning has been issued for two days of heavy snow and near-blizzard conditions for Cheyenne and the northern Colorado Front Range.

A winter storm watch was posted for western Nebraska, running Wednesday morning through late Thursday night. In Chadron, for example, the forecast contained snow estimates of 6-13 inches over the next two days.

The National Weather Service says "there is still considerable uncertainty regarding the track and timing of the system."

Gusty winds are expected, which would make driving hazardous.
