For the second day in a row gas prices reached a record high in the U.S. Experts aren't looking for them to go down anytime soon.

Some consumer savvy types have been perusing alternatives to saving money at the pumps.

The Toyota Prius is getting a lot of attention. The hybrid runs on both gasoline and electric motors. Experts say it gets 60 miles to the gallon this is double most vehicles.

Vit Xayarth with Performance Toyota says, "We've got an eight to 12 month waiting list. We've got 30 people on it for the moment."

While buying a new car isn't feasible for most of us, you can save money at the pump by finding out which places are the lowest in price.

Go to >www.gasbuddy.com there you'll find a list of stations close by with recent prices at the pump.
