Lincoln police say three vandals shot at cars early Wednesday morning; one of them was a police cruiser.
Officer Katie Flood said a police sergeant heard bb pellets hit metal near 610 J Street at 4:49 Wednesday morning and saw a vehicle speed away. The sergeant stopped the car with 20 year old Jeffery Munns, 21 year old Zachary Munns and 20 year old Jeremy Addleman inside.
Flood said police believe the three shot at at least 10 vehicles from 15th to 9th and H to E streets, including a police cruiser, but tossed the guns out of their Chevy Blazer. Police found the guns on the street. All three were arrested for criminal mischief.
Flood said the damage so far is estimated at $1,500, but the trio may be responsible for at least 12 more vandalism cases in northeast Lincoln.
