If your munchkins are itching to wear their Halloween costumes early, the Lincoln Children's Museum has the perfect opportunity.
The museum is transformed with all kinds of decorations for their Halloween Hurrah. Friday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. kids can dress up and trick-or-treat in a safe environment, while also enjoying all the other activities the museum has to offer.
The museum's Executive Director Darren Macfee says the first night of the event, Thursday, kids came in all kinds of costumes, from Iron Man, to Mario and Luigi, even a unicorn, "Everyone is encouraged to wear a costume. Halloween is fun and we want people to get in the spirit of it. It's a fleeting time and kids only get so many chances to wear their costumes. We know a lot of parents put a lot of effort into it, so why not have one more opportunity?" Macfee said.
Trick-or-treaters will get all kinds of candy, with some healthier options available. Admission prices are the same as usual, $6.50 for adults and kids over age two, $6.00 for seniors over age 62, and free for museum members.
