Among the newest is Hispanos Unidos. It will make its debut in the Lincoln area on May 5, the Mexican holiday of Cinco de Mayo.

Publisher Ryan Bouc said Hispanos Unidos will be distributed through the Lincoln and Crete areas every other Wednesday. It will include local news gathered by area staff, as well as international and sports news by the Associated Press.

Bouc said he decided to launch the Lincoln area newspaper of the same name he co-owns in Columbus.

Hispanos Unidos editor-in-chief Janet Eckerson said the newspaper will include much of the same information as English-language newspapers. However, she said Hispanos Unidos will be aimed at the Latino market, providing coverage of such topics as Latin American politics and soccer.
