Oxford Death

Furnas County authorities are not certain what caused the death of a 61-year-old woman whose body was found near Oxford Sunday morning.

Authorities say they received a telephone call about 8 a.m. Sunday reporting a body along a dry creek area near the west edge of Oxford.

Police are not releasing the identity of the woman pending notification of relatives. Foul play is not suspected but a sheriff's dispatcher says an autopsy was being conducted to determine the cause of death.
