It was a disturbing picture for the Lincoln Interfaith Council. It's former director, Norman Leach, walking into court accused of sexually assaulting a young boy. The new interim director Bill Caldwell says, its time for the community to heal. "There are people who are disappointed and there are people who are angry. I think it’s important that we address the victims some how and facilitate their healing."
Board President, Rev. Jay Vetter says it is important for the Interfaith Council to keep its vision clear. "We are a group that offers services which foster faith and justice."
Caldwell says the Council expects to have a new director within six to eight months. He's says he's open to the possibility of becoming the new director if the opportunity presented itself.
