An 18-year-old Overton youth will not go on trial in Lexington Tuesday a scheduled.
Hayden Hunt has been granted a delay to May 11 for his trial related to the Aug. 3 fatal fall of 13-year-old Vanessa Casillas at an Overton grain elevator.
Hunt is charged with felony child abuse, trespassing and a minor in possession of alcohol. He is one of four people charged in the death of the North Platte girl.
Investigators reported alcohol was a factor in Casillas' fall.
Hunt is accused of driving the girl and two others to the grain elevator on the night of the girl's death.
Eighteen-year-old Schuyler Racek of Lexington faces the same charges in the case. He has a trial date set for June 8.
Twenty-year-old Salvador Casillas of Lexington also is charged in the girl's death and is to stand trial May 11.
Twenty-one-year-old Leonardo Ibarra-Ramirez of Lexington was sentenced in November to six months in jail for selling alcohol to the minors at the elevator the night of Vanessa's death.
