Jayson Garett appeared in court Wednesday where an Adams County Judge sent his case to District Court after a two-and-a-half hour hearing.
Garett is accused of killing 45-year-old Daryl Peed. Autopsy reports say Peed was stabbed at least 45 times and some wounds were three-and-a-half-inches-deep.
Three officers and one detective took the stand yesterday.
Police say Garett was on a crime spree the night Peed was murdered. Prosecutors say the killing was random.
Garett's District Court arraignment has not yet been set.
Garett is being held on $5 million bail.
