General Wesley Clark in Lincoln

Over 900 people were on hand at the Embassy Suites in Lincoln to hear General Wesley Clark speak about the election year, President Bush, and the war with Iraq. Both General Clark and Senator Ben Nelson were very vocal about the status of the U.S. in Iraq.

"We went to war, as the findings are starting to disclose, because we had top leadership who became obsessed with the problem of Saddam Hussein and distracted us from our real adversary, Osama bin Laden and Al Qaeda, " Clark stated.

Clark and Nelson feel military inlistment will suffer because families are being seperated for so long by extended duty overseas. They also want to see the UN more involved in Iraq. That, Clark says, is exactly what John Kerry would do.

After the dinner, General Clark met with military families at P.O. Pears.
