A younger Grand Island mother has signed a plea agreement that will have her testify against her husband in the death of their two-year-old daughter.
Diana C. Molina was in Hall County District Court Thursday and agreed to plead no contest in an Aug. 23 hearing to an amended charge of permitting child abuse resulting in serious injury.
She originally was charged with knowingly and intentionally permitting the death of a child by child abuse. Her daughter, Diana N. Molina, died in July of last year.
Prosecutors also agreed the state would not sentence the 25-year-old woman to a term longer than four to five years in prison.
Molina's husband, Germai Molina, is charged with felony child abuse and first-degree murder in the girl’s beating death.
