The rivalry between Nebraska and Oklahoma goes almost as far back and the teams themselves.

So it's only fitting to have Heisman winners from both sides in town to help cut the ribbon on a new tribute meant to show the pride of the Huskers.

The Nebraska Football Experience room is said to be like none other.

Flashy images and a state of the art design team are making it one of the must-see spots of Memorial Stadium.

From the moment the doors close behind you, you're immersed in Nebraska football history.

Maggi Thorne, Assistant Director of Capitol Planning and Construction, says, "It's very exciting for a division one football program to have something that looks like it's out of this world, or it belongs in Las Vegas."

The Heisman room, as it's dubbed, is a state-of-the-art experience meant to pay homage to the three Husker Heisman winners.

But it'll also play a role in recruitment.

Nebraska Athletic Director, Tom Osborne, says, "We get players from all over the country that come in here and they have no clue about Nebraska and so it's nice to have them see some of the tradition, some of the history."

From classic plays in husker history to replicas of the trophies themselves, the Heisman room is the only one of its kind.

Husker Heisman recipient, Johnny Rodgers says, "It's high tech, some of my films were black and white. To come up to the time, it's really incredible what they're doing."

Rodgers, along with his Heisman counterparts from both Nebraska and Oklahoma experienced the Heisman room together.

Ironic, because the very first play of the video is the game of the century touchdown against the Sooners.

Rodgers adds, "We're such fierce competitors but we're friends at the same time so it was really a special moment."

Developers are hoping that special moment will continue to be shared by fans and future players alike, thanks to the Nebraska Football Experience.

The room is open anytime the North Stadium is open.
