A routine traffic stop on Interstate 80 near Lincoln, in Lancaster County, Nebraska led to the arrest of an Idaho man and the seizure of 55 lbs. of marijuana.
Around 12:30 p.m., on Wednesday, November 11, 2009, a trooper with the Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) Headquarters Troop-Lincoln stopped an eastbound 2000 Chevy pickup pulling a camper trailer for following too closely at mm 393 just west of the Northwest 48th Street Exit on I-80 in Lancaster County. An NSP canine indicated to the odor of marijuana coming from the trailer. A search of the trailer led to the seizure of 55 lbs of marijuana. The marijuana wrapped in contact paper was located under a bed in rear of the camper.
The driver, and sole occupant of the pickup 64-year-old Kenneth Bull of Emmett, Idaho, was lodged in the Lancaster County Jail on a charge of Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver. Three dogs traveling with Bull were transported to the Capitol Humane Society.

The dude is 64 years old and it's...Marijuana!! Big deal. Let the guy go home and sell us the marijuana to pay for the NSP fuel.
I am glad they are catching these people, but, I have to say it is obvious they are profiling out of state vehicles.
