Lincoln Electric System reports 70 customers lost power overnight Monday after a tree took down power lines and several power poles.

Winds are to blame for a tree which fell on power lines and pulled over several power poles near 75th & Holdrege Street. The tree which fell is in a yard on the south side of Holdrege.

The first report of power outage was just after 4:30 p.m. Monday.

According to LES spokesperson Kelley Porter, the effected area is between Urbana Lane and Carlos Drive and between Starr and Aylesworth Ave. This is generally, near 75th & Holdrege.

Crews have been working to replace poles and downed power lines since the outage was reported.

10/11 News spoke with crew members overnight, who said they had to cycle themselves back to their trucks to get warm as wind chills were -10 degrees while crews replaced the poles.

LES Officials say most power was restored by 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
