Husker Gameday: Nebraska 31, Kansas 17 (Final)
Nebraska defeated Kansas 31-17 and improves to 7-3 overall.

Nebraska leads Kansas 7-0 in the first quarter. NU quarterback rushed up the middle into the endzone, but fumbled - however, Roy Helu recovered the fumble to give Nebraska an early lead.
Nebraska started the game from the 42-yard line after Tim Marlowe returned the kickoff for 40 yards. On the first play from scrimmage for Nebraska, Zac Lee found Niles Paul for a 35-yard pass down to the Kansas 23 yard line.
Nebraska has had another successful drive, this time ending in a 25-yard field goal by Alex Henery putting the Huskers up 10-0. Zac Lee rushed for 32 yards down the sidelines, and then Lee connected with Niles Paul for a 37 yard pass, setting up the Henery kick.
Todd Reesing got the Jayhawks on the board, when he scored a rushing touchdown from five yards out, cutting the Nebraska lead to just three points. The touchdown by Reesing was also the first touchdown allowed by the Nebraska defense in the past 14 quarters.
Kansas drove down the field and Jacob Branstetter connected on a 33-yard field goal, tying the game at 10-10 going into the locker room.
Thus far, Todd Reesing has completed 10 of 22 passes, for 108 yards. Nebraska's Zac Lee is 4 of 9 for 107 yards. Niles Paul has three receptions for 109 yards.
Alex Henery kicked a 33 yard field goal to move Nebraska to a 13-10 lead over Kansas at the end of the third quarter.
Alex Henery added three more points to Nebraska's total as he kicked a 38-yard field goal to put Nebraska up 16-10 over Kansas.
Kansas has taken the lead over Nebraska, when Todd Reesing found Dezmon Briscoe for a 21-yard touchdown, Kansas leading 17-16, with under 8 minutes in the 4th quarter.
Roy Helu gave Nebraska the lead when he rushed for a 20-yard touchdown to give Nebraska a 24-17 lead. Zac Lee found Niles Paul for the two-point conversion.
Roy Helu ran for his second touchdown of the day, giving Nebraska a 31-17 lead over Kansas, and that would be the final score as Nebraska improves to 7-3 overall.
Nebraska faces Kansas State for the Big 12 North Division crown next Saturday at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:45 p.m.
