Lincoln Police say two vehicles collided Friday morning at the intersection of 40th Street and Pine Lake Road.

Witnesses told police a northbound car on 40th Street was struck when an eastbound car on Pine Lake Road ran a red light.

The eastbound car reportedly collided with a retaining wall on the southeast corner of Pine Lake Road. Police say the driver was trapped inside until Lincoln Fire and Rescue removed the driver's door.

Both drivers were transported to a local hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
