Lincoln police say an all day argument led to the stabbing death of 31 year old Christopher Grant.
Officer Katie Flood said Grant was visiting his girlfriend, 35 year old Lisa Ramirez Rodriguez Saturday. Flood said a neighbor heard them arguing all day long and then at 2:09pm Ramirez Rodriguez came out of her apartment with blood on her saying she needed help and that she had just killed someone.
Flood said officer found Grant inside the apartment with a stab wound to his chest. He was transported to the hospital where he later died.
Ramirez Rodriguez was arrested for 1st degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony before Grant died. She is scheduled in court Monday at 2:00pm and the county attorney will decide whether or not to upgrade her charges.
Records show Ramirez Rodriguez was denied a domestic abuse protection order against Grant in 2007.
Flood said police have responded to at least 5 domestic abuse calls with the couple since 2006. Grant was arrested for abuse July 24, 2006 and May 4, 2007.
This is the fourth homicide in Lincoln in 2009.
