One of the four finalists will replace retiring President L. Dennis Smith.
The committee announced the finalists are former Lieutenant Governor Kim Robak, U.S Strategic Commander Command Admiral Jim Ellis of Omaha, University of Maine President Peter Hoff, and University of North Carolina Senior Vice President James Milliken.
At its meeting today, the search committee recommended the list of finalists be forwarded to the Board of Regents.
Smith, who is 65, announced his retirement in September, effective June 30.
