Warren Buffett says Berkshire Hathaway's annual meeting would not have been held in Omaha this year had it not been for the new Qwest Convention Center.
Buffett said Saturday that far too many shareholders were expected this year than last. He said the meetings traditional venue, the Omaha Civic Center, would not have been able to hold them all.
A spokeswoman for Buffett says ticket requests for the meeting were up about 40-percent this year.
