The Hastings Police Department is happy to see Allan Sedlak wearing his other uniform.
After a year-long tour of duty in Iraq with the National Guard, Sedlak has returned to another kind of duty with the Hastings Police Department.
He has been back in Hastings for a little more than a month, but has just returned to the police department, where he is a 22-year veteran.
Sedlak says not much has changed since he left and the work in Iraq was just as rewarding as the work he does in Hastings.
Sedlak's wife, Lisa said it was a welcome sight to see her husband back in his police uniform.
She said because she's seen him in uniform for so many years, it makes her feel like things are getting back to normal.
