Three Nebraska landmarks are vying for votes as part of a program dedicated to preserving America's historical, fun and cultural landmarks.

Grand Island's Stuhr Museum, Alliance's Carhenge and the Strategic Air and Space Museum in Ashland are competing in the online "Save-A-Landmark" program.

Hampton Hotels is behind the effort, which will bring volunteers to the winning site to complete a preservation project.

Since launching in 2000, the program has provided thousands of hours and more than $2 million dollars toward the research and preservation of roadside landmarks.

To vote, visit www.hamptonlandmarks.com and click on "Save-A-Landmark."

The winner will be announced Dec. 7.
