A man sent to prison 10 years ago for sexually assaulting a child has been sentenced to up to 36 years, this time in a Madison County case.

Jeromy Ladwig was convicted of two counts of first-degree sexual assault and two counts sexual assault of a child by a Madison County jury in February.

Friday, Madison County District Court Judge Patrick Rogers sentenced Ladwig to 14-to-18 years on each of the enhanced charges, concurrent with three-to-five years on each of the first-degree charges.

The 30-year-old had been living in Norfolk.

Ladwig had been convicted of sexual assault of a child in 1994 in Lancaster County.

The victim in the Madison County case was a 14-year-old girl. According to Ladwig's court file, he drove the girl and her friends around in his car and would buy them alcohol.

Ladwig is accused of having sex with the girl twice in 2002. She was in the 8th grade at the time.
