A semi-truck accident near Grand Island makes for a difficult clean up.

A paint and fuel truck lost control on Interstate 80 near Grand Island Saturday, spilling its cargo all over the road and adjacent gravel road.

The truck, driven by 52 year-old Alvin Lee of Cove, Arkansas, rolled through the median, across both lanes of traffic and onto a gravel road next to the interstate.

Authorities say nearly 25,000 pounds of paint and about 400 gallons of diesel fuel were spilled on the roads. A hazardous materials team from North Platte and dump trucks from Kansas City were called in to assist with the clean up.

Lee was uninjured in the accident.
