The Nebraska Board of Regents is slated to interview the last of the four finalists up for the University of Nebraska president job Thursday.

The board will interview University of North Carolina Senior Vice President JB Milliken after interviewing the other three candidates earlier this week.

Milliken is the former University of Nebraska vice president of affairs. On Wednesday, speaking to nearly 30 faculty and staff members in Omaha, Milliken said the fates of the university and the state are connected and that the public university needs to serve the state. He said by working together, each can grow stronger.

Milliken said his priorities would include focusing on creating strong programs and research opportunities.
