Board of Regents Set for Presidential Selection

The state Board of Regents has interviewed all four of the candidates vying for the University of Nebraska president job.

The board plans to meet Tuesday to make a selection.

Thursday, the board met with JB Milliken, the vice president for university affairs at the University of North Carolina. Milliken, a Fremont native and former vice president of external affairs at NU, told the board the university has to be selective in what it goes after. He said he doesn't believe the university can compete in all areas, rather, it should concentrate on things it does well.

The board earlier this week interviewed the other three finalists, StratCom commander James Ellis, University of Maine President Peter Hoff and NU vice president Kim Robak.
