NU President NOT Selected

After meeting for nearly seven hours behind closed doors, the University of Nebraska Board of Regents failed to select a new university president.

Instead, the regents opted to re-interview two of the candidates.

On Friday, May 28, the regents will again interview University of North Carolina Vice President J. B. Milliken and Admiral James Ellis, Jr., the commander of U.S. Strategic Command at Offutt Air Force Base.

The regents stressed none of the candidates has been eliminated from consideration.

The two other candidates are University of Nebraska Vice President Kim Robak and University of Maine President Peter Hoff.
