An Iowa couple is stopped in Hickman, leading the man to be arrested.
Sheriff Terry Wagner with the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office said the couple was stopped at the Hickman U-Stop around 8:50 Friday night on a littering complaint.
Wagner said when stopped, deputies found the woman had a protection order against the man out of Pottawattamie County, Iowa, which had just been signed on November 15.
48-year-old Todd Simmons was arrested on violating that protection order. On the way to jail, Wagner said Simmons kicked the cruiser window and shattered it, then suffered a medical episode.
After being checked out at a local hospital, Simmons was also arrested for criminal mischief.
