A second finalist in as many days has withdrawn from consideration to be the next president of the University of Nebraska.

NU Vice President Kim Robak said she did not believe she had the full support of the NU Board of Regents.

Her withdrawal comes a day after Admiral James Ellis, Jr., pulled his name from consideration.

Still on the list is University of Maine President Peter Hoff and University of North Carolina Senior Vice President J.B. Milliken.

Neither of those two immediately returned telephone calls for comment on a report that the regents had scheduled a meeting Saturday with a goal of picking a new president.
