Some Nebraska residents are going to get a chance to watch the making of a film first hand in Cozad.
A film about a young Hastings College student who spends a summer selling fireworks is to be shot in the small town beginning July 7.
Cozad Development Corporation and Cozad Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Deb Nicolarsen says she heard about the film called "Independence," and contacted the author, Margaret Norwood.
The production company visited Cozad and decided it was the perfect location to shot the film.
Baby Lion Productions is expected to arrive in Cozad on June 23 to set up a fireworks stand to ready for the filming.
The crew hopes to have the film finished by the end of July.
