Three people have been killed in a fiery crash near Pierce.
Pierce County Attorney Verlyn Luebbe has identified the three victims as 51-year-old Roger Buss of Wausa, his 48-year-old wife Debra Clausen-Buss and 31-year-old Ryan "Blue" Dowling of Lincoln.
Luebbe says Dowling was the driver of a southbound car that crossed the centerline and struck the northbound Buss vehicle. A second northbound vehicle driven by 17-year-old Randolph youth also struck the Buss vehicle.
The Buss and Dowling vehicles were engulfed in flames. Luebbe says the Busses were pronounced dead at the scene, while Dowling was taken to Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk where he was pronounced dead.
The teenager in the third vehicle did not require medical treatment.
Luebbe says the accident occurred at 12:10 a.m. Sunday on U.S. Highway 81 a mile and a half north of the Highway 98 junction to Wayne.
