Hall County authorities say a Rockville woman who fell more than 40 feet to her death Wednesday slipped when a rung on the ladder she was climbing disconnected from the wall.
Hall County Sheriffs Captain Jim Casteberry says the ladder was built into the wall of Wadzinski Storage in Cairo.
Forty-two-year-old Jill Yound was climbing the ladder when the top rung came loose and caused her to lose her balance.
Castleberry said she fell more than 40 feet to the floor of the warehouse.
Castleberry said Young and a co-worker were doing a routine cleaning of the warehouse, which is used to store powdered milk.
Young was alone on the ladder when she fell. The accident occurred shortly before 3pm Wednesday.
Young was taken by a Saint Francis Medical Center where she died of extensive head injuries.
