Dr. Douglas Eicher was arrested for third degree sexual assault Friday morning around 10:45 in Wilderness Park.
This comes after an undercover investigation at Wilderness Park by the Lincoln Police Department. LPD says the operation has been running all week to make sure that Lincoln parks are safe.
Lincoln Police say 51-year-old Eicher was arrested after he had sexual contact with a male undercover police officer.
Capt. Allen Soukup with LPD says, "Mr. Eicher approached an undercover police officer and a sexual contact occurred between the two individuals at which time he was taken into custody."
Eicher was in court today and released on bond.
