Hallam Debris Removal

By: Vinita Nair
Updated: Tue 5:41 PM, Jun 15, 2004

The clean-up effort continues in Hallam today, 24 days after an F-4 tornado ripped through the tiny town.

Volunteer crews were out in force today, using donated front loaders and cranes to clean up separated piles of debris.

One of the biggest questions facing those that used to live there is whether or not they will rebuild.

When asked, crews said they've seen a noticeable decrease in the number of volunteers. They are hoping to reignite the clean-up effort Thursday through this Saturday.
