Students around the state are doing their part to help those affected by the earthquake in Haiti, but it was a hairy situation Monday at Lefler Middle School in Lincoln
The entire staff and student community sold paper hearts over their lunch hour in order to raise money for Haiti Relief.
The hearts will be displayed around the school, and the money will be donated to the American Red Cross.
Lefler staff promised students that administrators would dye their hair blue, the school color, as a reward for reaching the $500 mark. However, the students already have raised more than $600. So the entire Lefler staff will dye their hair for school on Monday February 8th.
