Lincoln East is the winner of the 16th annual Nebraska High School Science Bowl.
The event was held over the weekend at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln student union. Some 40 teams from across the state participated in the competition that tests students' knowledge of math and science.
Lincoln East's team of four students and two coaches receives an expense-paid trip to the National High School Science Bowl competition this spring in Washington, D.C.
Lincoln Northeast was state runner-up, followed by Omaha Central and Millard South.

A "blip" does not do justice for the effort put forth in non-athletic student activities. Brains vs Brawn Who gets the headlines? How about a section about the Chess team, the Robotics team, etc. etc.?

Teacher/Coaches names, students names, details? You must be joking. Of course sports news include all the details, but academic accomplishments don't matter enough for details.

Would like to know the names of the teachers/sponsors/coaches as well as the names of the students!
